Queens: 28th Avenue - Union Street

1927

28th Avenue, north side, between Union Street and Parsons Boulevard, showing the Mitchell mansion. In 1891 and 1909 it stood on land occupying 63 acres on the east side of Whitestone Avenue (later Union Street), bounded on the south by Bayside and on the north by Higgins Lane. 28th Avenue, when cut through, will run along the line of the fence.
