32nd Avenue, east from Downing Street, across the railroad crossing of the Whitestone spur of the Long Island Railroad. Across the tracks are gas works and an ice plant. A foundling asylum at one time stood here on the south side of the avenue, where the fence is seen. 32nd Avenue was formerly Myrtle Avenue. March 13, 1932 P.L. Sperr
